About One Tiny Blogger

Hello, and welcome to One Tiny Blogger. My name is Mia Horberg but some people know me as Mia Jones or Chubby Jones. I am a Chicago native who moved to New York with dreams of expanding my career as a digital strategist, music blogger and the first slightly chubby, five-foot winner of America’s Next Top Model. So far, I’ve been able to fully embrace one out of the three and am working as the Marketing Manager and Digital Strategist for a full-scale digital company called Make Me Social.

I used to spend my days as a Senior Interactive Producer and Social Media Manager for Tribune Interactive. My free time has been spent seeing as much live music as possible, joining random cultural activities and then representing them in the press, starting too many blogs and staying sane by writing for various print and online publications. My writing has been published in Venus Magazine, on AOL’s former music website: Spinner.com, Flavorpill (Chicago), Metromix, across Tribune markets and for over three and a half years was a music & pop culture columnist for AfterEllen.com.

Back in my chubbier days, I developed a podcast for beginning runners which follows the fantastic Couch to 5k running program. Apparently I did something right because my Chubby Jones podcast has been downloaded over 500k times and I get emails on a weekly basis asking for me to create more.
